Linda Helene Greenwall

BDS (Rand) MGDS, RCS (Eng). MSc (London), MRD RCS (ENG), FFGDP (UK)

Linda Greenwall has combined an innovative and award winning private practice in London, UK, with research in the field of tooth bleaching. She is a Fellowship Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a specialist in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. She has a multi disciplinary private practice in Hampstead, which has been awarded the Investor in People status. She is also the Editor of the journal Aesthetic Dentistry Today.

Linda Greenwall’s book entitled ‘Bleaching Techniques in Restorative Dentistry’, (Martin Dunitz, 2001) won the award for Best New Dental Book 2001. Linda lectures extensively in the UK and internationally on the subjects of Tooth Bleaching, Aesthetic Dentistry, Practice Management as well as the Controversies Surrounding Tooth Whitening. She has written many papers for the dentistry magazines. More recently she has produced an extensive and thorough e-learning programme entitled ‘The Business of Bleaching’ (Smile-on, 2007) which has been well received among the dental fraternity.


Recently she has launched the British Dental Bleaching Society (BDBS) which aims to lobby for changes in the controversial bleaching legislation and to educate dentists in tooth whitening. Dr Greenwall is a chairman of this organization.


She is an Associate Course Director for the Advanced Certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry for the Royal College of Surgeons Faculty of General Dental Practices.


Linda is an associate member of BDA, FGDP, BGDS, BSRD, BASD, BDHF, BAAD, AO, Women in
Dentistry, The Dental Journal Club of North West London and the Mike Wise Study Group.

Ellis Paul

Ellis Paul

ELLIS PAUL  was in Private Practice in Manchester for over 40 years.Since his earliest years in practice he wrote regular articles on a variety of topics ranging from acid erosion of teeth to prevention of back pain & 4-handed dentrisry.He also presented a large number of courses all over the UK , in Europe, South Africa & the USA. The most popular of these were;-" Developing Private Practice from the NHS" (with Barry Posner ) ,1977 to1985.  This was a ground-breaking corsre in the days when most dentists where NHS, " Make Your Patients Smile"  ( with Philip Wander ) ,1984 to1988 -one of the first on Posterior Composites,and ,with Paul Tipton," Excellence in Restorative Dentistry " 1990 to1996. However he is perha[ps best known for his hands-on courses on "Seated ,4-handed demtistry " which he is still pesenting. Ellis recently made a CD Rom " Perfect Posture for the Dental Team "

From 1969 to1973 he was a part-time Lecturer at Liverpool Dental School ,a consultant to The J Morita  Corporation of Japan   and to the FDI Commission on Ergonomics for 15 years.

He was elected an Hon. Life Member of the Association of Industrial Dental Surgeons.and In !992  was elected  a Fellow of the International College of Dentists .  A year ago the BDA honoured Ellis by eleccting him as a Fellow of the BDA.

In 1995 he was appointed as Eitor-in Chief of Private Dentistry , a position   he still holds. Ellis now lives in London with his wife Jennifer & 4 chidren.

Andy

Andrew Lane MPhil, BDS, DGDP(UK)

Andrew qualified from the University of Bristol with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1978, followed by the Diploma in General Dental Practice, Royal College of Surgeons, UK in 1993 and a Master of Philosophy in 1999 for research into dental materials at the University of Manchester.

He won the SmithKline Beecham Dental Practice Innovation award in 1995 and the Manchester Postgraduate Dental Society Award for research in 1999. He prepared the General Dental Council's written submission to the House of Lords Scientific Select Committee investigation into Complementary Medicine. Andrew is now the principal of Stockport Dental Seminars, organising and teaching advanced occlusion courses around the UK, combined with a partnership in a private general dental practice in Saddleworth.

Andrew was a founder of the British Society of Occlusal Studies in 1986 and was the society's secretary for 10 years. During that time organised over 50 postgraduate training courses, including teaching fixed appliance orthodontics to GDPs, along with a variety of courses on occlusion, TMD, aesthetics and alternatives to amalgam. Other positions held include Dental Vocational Training Advisor in General Dental Practice, UK Chairman of the American Equilibration Society, Chairman of Dental Relief for Romania Appeal, leader writer for Dentistry Monthly magazine and editor of Biological Dentistry newsletter.

Sharif Khan

Dr. Sharif Khan BDS (Edin.) M.Clin.Dent (Lond.)

Sharif qualified from Edinburgh University in 1992. He trained in Restorative Dentistry at St. Ann’s Centre for Advanced Dental Studies in Manchester. He was educated in the surgical and prosthodontic aspects of Implantology at the Eastman Dental Institute in London.

After four years of examinations and case presentations he was awarded ‘Master of Clinical Dentistry in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics’ (M.Clin.Dent.) by the University of London in 2004. His Masters dissertation was titled “The Optimisation of Aesthetics with Implant Supported Restorations.”

Sharif trained in Computer Guided Implantology at Clinica Malo in Lisbon, and is an implant training mentor.
He lectures regularly and venues have included the offices of the General Dental Council and British Dental Association in London, as well as the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. His lecture on Computed Guided Keyhole Implantology attracted over 400 delegates in Yorkshire.


He is regularly contacted by the media and is a spokesperson for the British Dental Association.


Sharif is Clinical Director of Rockingham House, a referral based private aesthetic & implant practice in West Yorkshire.
